The appreciation ceremony of the Sarawak Marine Fisheries Department (JPLS) & Fisheries Research Institute (IPP) Sarawak/Labuan was officiated by YBhg. Dato’ Adnan bin Hussain, Director General of Fisheries Malaysia.
He delivered a message to all the staff of JPLS and IPP Sarawak region so that all staff can provide the best service to the people and the country with full commitment and he also had the opportunity to wish the Gawai Day celebrations to the staff who celebrated the celebration.
The ceremony continued with the presentation of certificates of appreciation to retired staff as well as staff who have served for 25 years and above.
Also present at the ceremony were Puan Liza binti Haji Long, Deputy Director of Marine Fisheries Sarawak, Tuan Jamil bin Musel, Director of Bintawa Fisheries Research Institute, Sarawak as well as officers and staff.
