Message from The Director
ASSALAMUALAIKUM WARAHMATULLAHI WABARAKATUH
Welcome and thank you for visiting the Melaka Fisheries Office Website.
Overall, the Melaka Fisheries Office has achieved various successes that can be proud of by organising various programmes and projects involving target groups and the public around Melaka as well as outside Melaka.
I would like to express my highest appreciation to the staff of the Melaka Fisheries Office who have succeeded in stepping up their efforts in further developing the fisheries sector, especially in the State of Melaka.
The Department of Fisheries as a Leader of Transformation always strives to achieve development and modernisation in the fisheries sector. The mission of the Department is to manage and develop the country’s fisheries sector in a sustainable, dynamic and competitive manner based on scientific information and quality services. In carrying out the mission, the Department focuses on efforts to improve the quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of service delivery as well as efforts to increase the visibility of the Department by strengthening new and existing programmes/projects through smart partnerships between the Department and stakeholders in management of fisheries and aquaculture resources to ensure food security and food sovereignty can be maintained for the people of Melaka and the country.
It is my great hope that this effort can be continued for the coming years with further improvements. Finally, I hope that the Melaka Fisheries Office will continue to progress in increasing productivity and services in line with the latest innovations and technologies.
Thank you.
DIRECTOR
