- Based on Aquaculture Directive No. 1/2024 (Amendment), the determination of the number of shrimp breeders allowed to be imported from overseas is as follows:
- The importation of White Shrimp (Penaeus vannamei) breeders into this country is PROHIBITED, except with the permission of the Director General of Fisheries. The number allowed does not exceed 6 shrimps per 1 ton of production tank.
- The importation of Tiger Shrimp (Penaeus monodon) breeders into this country is PROHIBITED, except with the permission of the Director General of Fisheries. The number allowed does not exceed 2 shrimps per 1 ton of production tank.
- The list of overseas suppliers (hatcheries) approved to supply SPF shrimp breeders to Malaysia is as follows:
