The myAgropreneur Fisheries Carnival Program (myAP) & myKomuniti Perikanan North Zone 2024 was officiated by YBhg. Dato’ Adnan bin Hussain, Director General of Fisheries Malaysia this morning.
This carnival aims to help local entrepreneurs especially in the fishing sector to promote their products by making this carnival a platform to promote products to visitors, in addition to finding agents, distributors or stockists.
A total of 18 entrepreneurs under the guidance of the Malaysian Fisheries Department from three states namely Perlis, Kedah and Penang have brought products such as lekor crackers, anchovy crisp sambal, tuna-based laksa, fried squid and others.
YBhg. Dato’ Adnan also had the opportunity to present a check for the assistance of the Development Delivery and Support Service System (SpeKS) for development and aquaculture with a total of RM829,310 to the three states. Also handed over was a check for assistance from the Aquaculture Integration Program (PPIA) worth RM1.08 million to Penang aquaculture farmers.
Also present to make the program successful, the Senior Director of the Fisheries Research Institute, Dr. Azhar bin Hamzah, Director of Fisheries Development Division, Puan Khazlita Adzim Abdol Aziz and Penang State Fisheries Director, Miss Zarina Zainuddin. Perlis State Fisheries Director, Mr. Mohammed Roshaizat bin Mustaffa, Director of Policy and Strategic Planning Division, Mr. Nazri bin Ishak and the staff of the Malaysian Fisheries Department.
