The ceremony completed by YBhg. Dato’ Adnan bin Hussain, Director General of Fisheries Malaysia took place at the Kuala Kedah Fisheries Conservation and Protection Base this morning.
The KPS Semilang vessel (P306) is an asset of the Malaysian Fisheries Department that was upgraded under the 12th RM project. Upgraded components include the replacement of new engines, gensets and maintenance of the interior and exterior of the ship.
To ensure that P306 is upgraded and can perform its functions to an optimal level, Syarikat Asia Slipway & Engineering Sdn. Bhd located in Kuala Kedah has been entrusted with this task.
Also present to make the program successful, Senior Director of Engineering Division, Haji Abdul Halim Bin Marzuki, Senior Deputy Director of Conservation and Fisheries Protection Division, Mr. Sukri bin Deris, Managing Director of Asia Slipway & Engineering Sdn. Bhd, YBrs. Mr. Abdul Ghafar Bin Samat, as well as staff from the Malaysian Fisheries Department.
