myAP Entrepreneurs Successfully Penetrate the International Market
YB Datuk Seri Haji Mohamad bin Sabu, Minister of Agriculture and Food Security today held a working visit to Keropok House & Industry Sdn Bhd’s Agro-Based Industry Project (IAT). This work visit is aimed at reviewing fish-based product processing companies that have successfully penetrated the international market to Australia, Singapore and Brunei.
Established for the past 23 years, the company that runs the Lekor cracker business in Kota Raja Parliament is a myAgropreneur Perikanan (myAP) entrepreneur under the guidance of the Selangor State Fisheries Department. Keropok House & Industry Sdn Bhd received assistance from the department in 2016 and 2022 through the assistance of the Expansion Delivery and Support Service System (SPEKS) amounting to RM43,500 to improve marketed product results.
This Bumiputera-owned company has also obtained Hazard Analysis and certification Critical Control Point (HACCP) and the quality and quality of the company’s products are also complemented by the acceptance of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) certification and Halal certification.
Also present in this visit were YBrs Tuan Haji Bohari bin Haji Leng, Deputy Director General of Fisheries (Development), Mrs. Khazlita Adzim binti Abdul Aziz Director of Fisheries Development Division, Mrs. Nor Farahiyah binti A. Aziz Head of Selangor State Fisheries Development Branch and Fisheries Office Staff State of Selangor.
