Body Color White ventrally; tail marked with bands of black and white; snout sharply pointed; disc with narrowly rouded outer corner and tail long, slender and nearly three times body length when intact, with no caudal finfold; disc without thorns but band og flat denticles along midback (in adults).
Spesific Description Body depressed. Disc profile quadrangular; upper surface with fine dark spots and recticulations. Snout broadly triangular. Anterior margin of disc almost straight. Broad band of flat denticles on central disc with tow heart-shaped thorns. Midline of tail before sting without thorns. Tail long, whip-like, variably banded (often faint in adults) without skin fold on ventral surface of tail. [Note: H. uarnak are spotted as juveniles and variably spotted or recticulated as adults].
