YBhg. Dato’ Adnan bin Hussain, Director General of Fisheries Malaysia has conducted a working visit to the Freshwater Cage Fish Farming Project in Kampung Beladau Kepong, Kuala Terengganu.

A total of 27 freshwater fish farmers involved 493 cage units with an area of ​​1.7332 hectares in the area. Among the fish species farmed are tilapia, baung, catfish and catfish. Fish production in the area in 2023 is 281.92 metric tons worth RM3.187 million.

YBhg. Dato’ Director General of Fisheries Malaysia also had a friendly meeting with the aquaculture operators in the area to exchange views and opinions to further develop the aquaculture industry in the area.

Also present were officials from the Fisheries Headquarters, Putrajaya and the Terengganu State Fisheries Office during the visit.
