The Public Service Department (PSD) in collaboration with the Department of Fisheries Malaysia (DOF) has organised the MyKP (Fisheries Community) Fishing Competition 2024 which aims to promote Pulau Aman as an Eco Tourism destination in Penang.

This fishing competition has successfully attracted the participation of 150 participants consisting of the public and civil servants from various Government Agencies.

In the same event, PSD also donated five (5) kayaks and ten (10) fishing rods to MyKP Pulau Aman. The equipment can be utilised to increase the income of the local community and support tourism activities in Pulau Aman.

In addition, YBhg. Datuk Dr. Anesee bin Ibrahim, Deputy Director General of Public Service (Development) together with YBhg. Dato’ Haji Adnan bin Hussain, Director General, Department of Fisheries Malaysia also released fish fry off the coast of Pulau Aman with donations from DOF, namely 1800 siakap fish, 1000 squid, and 6000 red-legged shrimp fry.

Hadir sama Puan Khazlita Adzim binti Abdol Aziz Pengarah Bahagian Pengembangan Perikanan, dan Cik Zarina Binti Zainuddin Pengarah Perikanan Negeri Pulau Pinang serta kakitangan Jabatan Perikanan Malaysia.
