The Department of Fisheries Malaysia together with the Department of Veterinary Services and NAHRIM had the opportunity to present in depth on Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) to the Health Select Committee. This opportunity was used to share relevant insights and knowledge, as well as discuss steps that can be taken to address this increasingly pressing AMR challenge.
The meeting was chaired by YB Tuan Suhaizan bin Kaiat, Member of Parliament for Pulai (Chairman). The Committee members involved are YB Tuan Oscar Ling Chai Yew (Member of Parliament for Sibu), YB Tuan Haji Onn bin Abu Bakar (Member of Parliament for Batu Pahat), YB Dato’ Dr. Ahmad Yunus bin Hairi (Member of Parliament for Kuala Langat), YB Dato’ Dr. Zulkafperi bin Hanapi (Member of Parliament for Tanjong Karang) and YB Dato’ Dr. Haji Alias bin Razak (Member of Parliament for Kuala Nerus), YB Puan Young Syefura binti Othman (Member of Parliament for Bentong) and YB Dato’ Adnan bin Abu Hassan (Member of Parliament for Kuala Pilah).
