The official working visit of Ybrs. Tuan Haji Wan Muhammad Aznan Bin Abdullah, Deputy Director-General of Fisheries (Management), Department of Fisheries Malaysia to Sarawak, involved several key locations, including Fisheries Region Santubong and the Main MCS Base, Santubong. His arrival was welcomed by Mr. Jakson Clive Jusak, Head of the Sarawak Biosecurity Center, Mr. Buniamin Bin Kiprawi, Head of Fisheries Region 1, Santubong, and the staff of the Sarawak Marine Fisheries Department.
During the visit, he had the opportunity to meet with staff, deliver an address, and provide advice on various fisheries-related issues. During the meeting, he emphasized the importance of high self-discipline among officers and members, as well as the seriousness in carrying out their duties.
Several issues raised during the meeting caught his attention, especially considering that Sarawak is a region that involves a significant operational budget for the Fisheries Department. Before visiting other locations, he also inspected the fast patrol boat of the Sarawak Marine Fisheries Department along the Santubong River.
