The Department of Fisheries Malaysia (DOF) organized a meeting session with marine aquaculture industry players as an effective communication platform between the industry players and the department.
The session, chaired by YBhg. Datuk Seri Isham bin Ishak, Secretary General of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security (KPKM), successfully attracted the participation of 78 individuals, consisting of representatives from associations, companies, and importers & exporters who shared views, suggestions, and feedback to address the various challenges faced by the industry.
The panel members of the meeting session included YBhg. Dato’ Haji Adnan bin Hussain, Director General of Fisheries Malaysia, YBrs. Encik Shamsul Akbar bin Sulaiman, Director General of the Malaysian Quarantine and Inspection Services (MAQIS), YBrs. Puan Rashima Binti Baharuddin, Deputy Director General (Development) of the Malaysian Fisheries Development Authority (LKIM), and YBrs. Ts. Mahamad Sukor bin Senapi, Director (Compliance and Industry Development) of the Ministry of Health Malaysia.
Also present were YBrs. Puan Yeo Moi Eim, Deputy Director General of Fisheries (Management), YBhg. Dato’ Haji Azahari bin Haji Othman, Deputy Director General of Fisheries (Development), and staff from the Department of Fisheries Malaysia.
