A meeting was held between Tuan Chan Ming Kai, Political Secretary to the Prime Minister, and YBhg. Dato’ Haji Adnan bin Hussain, Director General of Fisheries Malaysia, on February 21, 2025, at the Office of the Director General of Fisheries Malaysia.
The purpose of this meeting was to discuss the national fisheries sector, particularly the licensing of fishing vessels and increasing the country’s fishery catch production to ensure food security within the country.
Also present at the meeting were YBrs. Puan Yeo Moi Eim, Deputy Director General of Fisheries (Management), YBrs. Tuan Haji Bakri bin Miswan, Senior Deputy Director of the Fisheries Resources Division, Mr. Norazri bin Ismail, Senior Deputy Director of the Engineering Division, Yang Arif Puan Suhana binti Mohd, Legal Advisor, and officers from the Department of Fisheries Malaysia.
