Ybhg. Dato’ Haji Adnan bin Hussain, Director General of Fisheries Malaysia, was pleased to receive a delegation from the Brunei Darussalam Department of Fisheries, Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism led by Yang Mulia Dayang Hajah Wanidawati binti Haji Tamat, Director of the Brunei Darussalam Fisheries Department to the Fisheries Agrofood Site in conjunction with the Agriculture, Horticulture and Agro-Tourism Exhibition (MAHA) 2024.
The Brunei delegation also discussed cooperation related to the fisheries and aquaculture industry that can be carried out between the Department of Fisheries Malaysia and the Department of Fisheries Brunei through the Fisheries Research Institute. The delegation was invited by YB Datuk Seri Haji Mohamad bin Sabu, Minister of Agriculture and Food Security.
The Brunei delegation was also taken to visit the Aquaculture Gallery, the World Gallery of River Fish Sanctuary, the World Gallery of Oceans, the World Gallery of Aquatic Science, the Megafauna Pavilion and the Gallery of Innovation, Technology and Modernisation.
Also present during the visit was Puan Yeo Moi Eim, Senior Director of Fisheries Biosecurity Division, YBhg. Dato’ Azahari bin Haji Othman, Senior Director of the Aquaculture Division, Mr. Nazri bin Ishak, Director of the Policy and Strategic Planning Division and fisheries officers of the headquarters.
