The Lake Laman Agro-Food Pineapple LPNM in MAEPS Serdang, Selangor was the location for the Freshwater Fish Release Brief Ceremony held yesterday. The ceremony was officiated by YBrs. En. Mohd Khairuzamri bin M.Salleh, Director General of the Malaysian Pineapple Industry Board (LPNM), together with YBhg. Dato’ Haji Adnan bin Hussain, Director General of Fisheries Malaysia. The presence of these two figures signifies the close cooperation between the two government agencies in developing the country’s agriculture and fisheries sectors.
A total of 23,060 freshwater fish, including 8,060 Lampam Sungai, 5,000 Lampam Giraffes, and 10,000 Puyu, have been released. The total amount of fish worth RM8,530.00, was donated by the Perlok Aquaculture Development Centre, Jerantut, Pahang.
