YB Datuk Seri Haji Mohamad bin Sabu, Minister of Agriculture and Food Security (KPKM) officiated the Flag-Off Ceremony of the KPKM MADANI Ihsan Squad at the Main Lobby, Wisma Tani, Putrajaya today.
He said the ministry would help flood victims through 3 assistance schemes, namely the paddy crop disaster fund, the agricultural disaster fund and the paddy crop takaful scheme under AGROBANK.
In addition, the launch of the KPKM Ihsan Madani squad is also one of the aids to ease the burden of flood victims in the affected districts, especially in the states of Kelantan, Terangganu, Kedah and Pahang.
Present with YBhg. Datuk Seri Isham bin Ishak, Secretary General of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security, YBhg. Dato’ Haji Adnan bin Hussain, Chief Fisheries Officer of Malaysia, Directors General of Departments and Agencies under KPKM as well as senior officers and staff of KPKM.
