Dato’ Haji Adnan bin Hussain, Director General of Fisheries, officiated the IPP Level Quality Day Celebration at the Tunku Abdul Rahman Auditorium (AkuaTAR), Batu Maung, Penang.
In his speech, Dato’ Haji Adnan also encouraged researchers to continue to produce quality writing and participate in competitions that can further strengthen the quality of research and innovation in the field of fisheries. He also emphasised that excellent research is fundamental to the sustainable progress of the country’s fisheries sector.
At the same ceremony, he also presented seven categories of Quality Awards, including the Best Workspace Award, the Most Fisheries Technology Transfer Award, the Most Research Reviewer Award, the Most Fisheries Innovation Award, the Most Research Paper Publication Award, the Most Scientific Paper Presentation Award, and the Most Likes Award. IPP Glami Lemi has recorded outstanding success by winning five contested awards.
Also present at the ceremony were Dr. Azhar Hamzah, Senior Director of IPP Batu Maung, Dr. Kua Beng Chu, Senior Deputy Director of IPP, Ms. Zarina Zainuddin, Director of Fisheries of Penang, as well as directors, officers, and staff of IPP.
