YBhg, Dato’ Haji Adnan bin Hussain, Director General of Fisheries Malaysia visited the Shrimp Pond Project operated by Purnama Aquaculture in Kampung Cempaka, Kuantan, Pahang.
He was briefed on the company’s operations by En. Md. Yusery bin Md Yusoff, the owner of Purnama Aquaculture Sdn Bhd.
The company is carrying out a White Shrimp (Litopenaeus vannemei) pond project on a 5-acre land and has 5 ponds. The company is also applying the use of Internet of Things (IoT) technology in farm operations. With the IoT system, it will increase the effectiveness of cage fish farming operations in terms of saving labor and time for fish feed management. Through the development of this machine, the feeding is automatic according to the prescribed frequency and quantity.
Also present was En. Abdullah bin Jaafar, Director of Pahang State Fisheries and staff of the Pahang State Fisheries Department.
