Located at Menara Wisma Tani, the Monthly Assembly of the Department of Fisheries Malaysia took place. In his speech, YBhg. Dato’Haji Adnan bin Hussain, Director General of Fisheries Malaysia said for the first time, operators under the Department of Fisheries, Syarikat ARC Berkat Agro Food Sdn. Bhd, owned by agropreneur Mohd Hafiz Bin Nordin from Sungai Buloh, Selangor, have been selected as the Recipients of the Perdana Award in conjunction with the Agro Award for the Malaysian Agriculture, Horticulture and Agro Tourism Exhibition (MAHA) 2024.
He also expressed his appreciation to the department’s staff for their efforts in guiding and supporting agropreneurs towards success. The ceremony continued with the Launching Ceremony of the Digitalisation Strategic Plan (PSP) of the Department of Fisheries, Malaysia, the Launch of the Pulau Perhentian Coffee Table Book, the Presentation of the MS ISO/IEC 17025 Certificate of the Kedah Key Biosecurity Centre, the Presentation of the Fishing Expert Certificate, the Presentation of Table Tennis Competition Prizes in conjunction with the Hari Celebration
Also present at the ceremony were YBhg Dato’Haji Azahari bin Haji Othman, Senior Director of the Aquaculture Division, Mrs. Yeo Moi Eim, Senior Director of the Fisheries Biosecurity Division as well as senior directors, division directors and department staff.
