Ybhg. Dato’ Haji Adnan bin Hussain, Director General of Fisheries Malaysia, was honoured to receive a courtesy call from the Sabah Economic Development and Investment Authority (SEDIA) delegation led by YBhg. Datuk Seri Panglima Haji Hashim bin Paijan as Chief Executive at the Department of Fisheries Malaysia Headquarters, Putajaya.
This session was held to discuss the strategic proposal of SEDIA in establishing a shellfish aquaculture project in Sabah. The Department of Fisheries Malaysia (DOF) welcomes ZEID’s intention to develop a shellfish aquaculture project to increase food production as well as respond to the Government’s call towards the country’s food security.
Also present during the visit was Puan Yeo Moi Eim, Senior Director of Fisheries Biosecurity Division, YBhg. Dato’ Azahari bin Haji Othman, Senior Director of the Aquaculture Division and fisheries officers of the headquarters.
