A total of 17 units of juvenile cuboid artificial reefs were anchored today in the waters of Kuala Kemasin, Bachok which was officiated by YB Dato’ Haji Tuan Mohd Saripudin bin Tuan Ismail, Chairman of the Kelantan State Agriculture, Agrofood and Commodities Committee together with YBhg. Dato’ Haji Adnan bin Hussain, Director General of Fisheries Malaysia, is part of the 70 reef units built and anchored in 2024 worth RM2.2 million through allocations obtained from the Federal Government, Kelantan State Government and the Ecological Fiscal Transfer for Biodiversity Conservation (EFT) Project.

This program is very important to ensure and increase marine fisheries resources to always be sustainable and ensure food security in the state of Kelantan.

Also present at the programme were YB Dato’ Shaari bin Mat Hussain, Deputy Chairman of the Kelantan State Agriculture, Agrofood and Commodities Committee, YB Ustaz Harun bin Ismail, Member of the State Legislative Council (ADU)
