Ybhg. Dato’ Haji Adnan bin Hussain, Director General of Fisheries Malaysia has completed the Fish Fry Release Programme into the Waters of Sungai Pahang. A total of 34,500 fish fry, namely 10,000 catfish, 500 fruit catfish and 24,000 river lampam totalling RM16,500 donated by the Perlok Aquaculture Development Centre, Pahang, were released.
The Director General of Fisheries Malaysia also held an engagement session with the General Manager of Jaman Tory Marketing, En. Atta bin Ahmad. Jaman Tory Marketing is an entrepreneur registered with the Department of Fisheries Malaysia under the myAgropreneur Fisheries Programme (myAP).
Jaman Tory Floating in Bera is the third restaurant owned by this entrepreneur. This restaurant serves a traditional Pahang menu as the main dish such as tempoyak catfish, as well as other village cuisine menus, among the appetizers are Ikan Pekasam, Ikan Mungkus, as well as fresh sambal and uram.
Also present were YBhg Dato’ Haji Azahari bin Haji Othman, Senior Director of Aquaculture Division, Mr. Abdullah bin Jaafar, Pahang State Director of Fisheries and officers and staff of the Pahang State Fisheries Department & Fisheries Headquarters.
